01We operate a multi-asset portfolio. Does this work across all of it?+
Yes — that's the whole point of the Campus Digital Platform layer. Huawei publishes four named asset-class scenarios (commercial complex, residential community, industrial park, smart venue) plus hospitality (via the China Tourism Group Hotels partnership). Each asset runs on the same foundation; you do not run five different platforms.
02Do you have actual MENA real-estate references?+
Yes — Emaar Dubai Creek Harbour deployed Huawei's all-optical 10GPON network and is a Huawei published reference. The Smart Real Estate Solution Huawei launched at HUAWEI CONNECT 2024 is the productised version of the same playbook, ready for new developments across MENA. We can arrange a reference call.
03Can we apply this to existing buildings, not just new construction?+
Yes. The M8 Macao reference is specifically a 60-year-old building digitally upgraded on the Huawei platform — the published proof that the Smart Building stack works for renovations, not just greenfield. Most real-estate portfolios are predominantly existing assets; this matters.
04Where does tenant and visitor data live?+
In the country where the asset operates. Saudi tenants on the Saudi region, UAE tenants on UAE-resident infrastructure, Egyptian tenants in Egypt. Saudi PDPL and Egypt PDPL both apply to visitor and tenant personal data; the Campus Digital Platform handles residency at the platform layer, not in your application.
05How does this integrate with the BIM tools our architects already use?+
Huawei has a strategic collaboration with China Academy of Building Research (CABR) on the BIMBase platform — the published BIM foundation for the smart-construction side of the stack. For day-to-day Autodesk Revit, IFC, and CAD work, the integration sits on top via standard formats and APIs.
06What about energy and ESG?+
Energy management sits naturally on the Campus Digital Platform layer — building IoT feeds energy data into the same analytics fabric that drives operations and security. Huawei's published positioning explicitly mentions "minimal energy consumption and carbon emissions" and "green buildings and energy conservation" as design priorities. For ESG disclosure, the data is in the right place; the reporting layer is configurable per framework.
