A patient encounter, end to end

Five touchpoints. One platform that holds them together.

A patient journey is not one moment — it is a sequence of handovers, each with its own risk of dropping the ball. Pick a touchpoint to see what the patient experiences, what the clinician needs, and the named Huawei capability that quietly delivers it.

What you can run for healthcare today.

Huawei publishes a named set of healthcare sub-solutions on top of the core cloud. Each is buildable today, with documented capabilities and named reference deployments.

DH

Digital Hospital

A shared, collaborative, mobile platform for large hospitals — HIS, LIS, and PACS integrated via HL7 into one clinical data centre.

  • Cloud-edge synergy: 5x performance improvement, 30x bandwidth reduction (Huawei published)
  • CCE container occupies only 6MB on edge nodes — runs alongside clinical systems, not over them
  • Over 1,000 IoT device connections supported in real time per cluster

MI

Medical Images

Cloud PACS for the decade-long imaging archive every hospital generates — plus AI-aided diagnosis and 3D post-processing as platform services.

  • PACS data storage at decade scale — Huawei published framing
  • Cloud image reading: doctors and patients retrieve and read cloud films from anywhere
  • AI-aided diagnosis and 3D image post-processing invoked as platform services, not built from scratch

CD

Chronic Disease Treatment

Long-term patient management — the platform underneath remote monitoring, medication adherence, and telemedicine follow-up.

  • Cross-department, cross-disease, inter-hospital collaboration via telemedicine
  • Mobile healthcare apps to surface care plans on the patient phone
  • Aging population and lifestyle conditions explicitly named in Huawei published positioning

BM

Biomedicine

Massive compute and storage for precision-medicine research — the kind of analysis that does not fit on a workstation.

  • Computing and storage for analysing massive biomedical datasets
  • Precision medical treatment workflows on cloud-scale infrastructure
  • Pairs naturally with Medical Images and Genomic Sequencing

GS

Genomic Sequencing

Mass-data genomics — high-throughput sequencing data analysed on the same cloud as your imaging and EMR.

  • Designed for the petabyte data volumes modern genomics generates
  • Sits next to Biomedicine for translational research
  • Same Riyadh-region residency as the rest of your hospital workloads

Xinghe Healthcare Campus Network

The Wi-Fi 6 + IoT campus network deployed across the Egyptian MoHP Decent Life Initiative and at American Hospital Dubai.

  • 20% Wi-Fi coverage uplift via smart antenna technology (Huawei published, Egypt MoHP)
  • 50% latency reduction through multi-link transmission for remote consultation
  • 90% O&M improvement via iMaster NCE intelligent network management

What the partnership delivers

Why DDS for healthcare.

Imaging that loads when the radiologist clicks

Huawei Medical Images is built around the reality that PACS data has to be stored for up to a decade but still has to open in under a second when a radiologist opens a study. Cloud image reading from anywhere, AI-aided diagnosis and 3D post-processing as invoked platform services rather than projects to build.

A platform that disappears into the clinical workflow

Huawei Digital Hospital connects HIS, LIS, and PACS over HL7 into one clinical data centre. Cloud-edge synergy means the heavy work runs in the cloud while a 6MB container sits at the hospital edge for low-latency response — 5x performance and 30x bandwidth efficiency on Huawei published numbers. The clinician sees one workflow, not three.

Already delivering at MENA scale

Egypt MoHP runs 200+ Decent Life medical units on Huawei networks. American Hospital Dubai supports 400+ AI-robotic surgeries on the same platform. Almana Hospital in Saudi Arabia built its intelligent hospital on Huawei CloudCampus. You do not pioneer this in your country — you join a deployed regional pattern.

Buyer questions

Things healthcare teams ask first.

01Where does patient data live? Does it cross borders?+
Patient data stays in the country of care by default. Saudi patients on the Saudi region, Egyptian patients in Egypt-resident infrastructure, UAE patients in UAE. The Huawei Cloud regional footprint is structured to keep cross-border replication of patient records out of the picture — which is what every regulator we work with expects.
02Can you actually integrate with the EMR we already have?+
Yes — that is what HL7 is for, and what Huawei Digital Hospital is built around. HIS, LIS, PACS, and EMR data integrate via HL7-compliant clinical data services into one clinical data centre. We do not require you to rip-and-replace your existing EMR. Hybrid is the default deployment, not the workaround.
03How does PACS perform when a radiologist opens a study?+
The cloud-edge synergy model is the answer. Heavy archive storage lives in the cloud (built for the decade-long retention Huawei explicitly publishes); the actively-read study layer sits at the hospital edge with CCE containers occupying only 6MB on edge nodes. Huawei publishes 5x performance improvement and 30x bandwidth reduction vs cloud-only patterns.
04Do you have actual MENA hospital references?+
Yes. Egypt MoHP runs 200+ Decent Life medical units on Huawei networks. American Hospital Dubai has 700+ Wi-Fi 6 APs and 400+ AI-robotic surgeries on the platform. Almana Hospital in Saudi Arabia built a fully-connected intelligent hospital on Huawei CloudCampus. We can arrange direct reference calls.
05What about telemedicine and chronic-disease follow-up?+
Huawei publishes Chronic Disease Treatment as a named sub-solution explicitly framed around aging, lifestyle conditions, and the shift toward long-term care. Telemedicine is built in: cross-department, cross-disease, inter-hospital collaboration. Mobile-healthcare apps surface care plans to the patient phone. The same cloud, the same data, no separate vendor.
06Are you HIPAA-compliant?+
Huawei Cloud publishes HIPAA-aligned controls for US-adjacent workloads. For MENA-jurisdiction patient data, the primary compliance framework is Saudi PDPL and Egypt PDPL (both effective and enforced), plus ISO 27799 specifically for health information. We can sign Business Associate Agreements for partners whose workflow needs them.
